The adaptive report relies on item tags to generate all sections of the report, including learning area breakdowns, subtopic analysis, and difficulty-level performance. Proper configuration of these tags is essential to ensure accurate and complete reporting.

Required Tag Types

Each assessment item must include the following tag types to be included in the adaptive report:

  • Assessment Domain

    • Represents the top-level learning area, such as Algebra or Arithmetic.

  • Assessment Point

    • Represents the subtopic or skill within the domain, such as Percents or Division.

  • Assessment Item Difficulty

    • Indicates the item's difficulty level, such as Level 1, Level 2, etc.

    • Used to populate the Difficulty Performance table in the Section Score Detail Report.

Example tag configuration for an item:

  • Assessment Domain: Arithmetic

  • Assessment Point: Percents

  • Assessment Item Difficulty: Level 2

Tooltips and Descriptions

Tooltips will appear throughout the report, including:

  • Report sections

  • Tag labels (e.g., learning areas, subtopics)

If Long Names are set for the tags in the Learnosity item bank, these "descriptions" will be displayed in the tooltips, providing additional context for instructors and students. More information on how to apply a descriptive long name can be found here.
