1. Enabling Proctorio for an Assignment
To enable Proctorio in an Atomic Assessment:
•Navigate to the assessment settings of the assessment you want to proctor.
•Under the Proctoring section, check the option labeled Enable proctoring for this assessment.
•From the dropdown menu, choose Proctorio as your proctoring service (you also have the option to select Respondus, if available).
2. Configuring Proctorio Settings
Once Proctorio is enabled, you can further customize the proctoring experience by configuring the following options:
Recording Options
These settings determine what aspects of the student’s environment are recorded during the assessment:
•Record video: Captures the student’s webcam video throughout the exam.
•Record audio: Records audio to detect any suspicious background noise.
•Record desktop: Tracks the student’s screen activity during the assessment.
•Record web traffic: Logs any web traffic during the exam to monitor unauthorized browsing.
•Record room: Optionally, Proctorio can record the physical room via the student’s webcam to ensure no unauthorized materials are present.
Lockdown Options
Proctorio provides several lockdown options to restrict students’ actions during the exam:
•Only one screen: Ensures that students can only use one screen.
•Force full screen: Determines if students must take the exam in full-screen mode. You can choose:
•Do not force full screen
•Full screen lenient (30 seconds before kicking them out)
•Full screen moderate (15 seconds)
•Full screen severe (0 seconds for immediate lockout)
•New tabs: Controls whether students are allowed to open new tabs. Options include:
•Tabs allowed
•No new tabs
•In assessment links only

•Additional lockdown features include:
•Disable printing: Prevents students from printing the test.
•Disable clipboard: Blocks copying and pasting text from the exam.

•Verify video: Ensures that video verification is enabled.

•Verify desktop: Checks the student’s desktop configuration.

ID Verification
•Do not verify ID: Skips ID verification.
•Verify ID automatically: Proctorio automatically checks the student’s ID.
