The Responses Report in Atomic Assessments provides a detailed breakdown of how students responded to individual questions on an assessment. This view is especially helpful for evaluating question performance and manually regrading when necessary.
đź”˝ Question Dropdown Menu
At the top of the report, you’ll find a dropdown labeled with the current question (e.g., “1 - Which of the following is NOT a function…”).
•This dropdown allows you to navigate to any question in the assessment without going in order.
•The number indicates the question number, and the label is the question text preview.
⬅️ Prev / Next Buttons
•Use the Prev and Next buttons to move to the previous or next question in the sequence.
🧠Section Dropdown Menu
•The All sec dropdown (short for “All Sections”) lets you filter by specific student sections.
•This is useful if your course uses multiple sections and you want to analyze responses by group.
👥 Grouped vs Individual Responses
•You can toggle between Grouped Responses (default) and Individual Responses.
•Grouped Responses show how many students chose each answer and the overall success rate.
•Individual Responses show how each student answered that question.
❓Question Display & Correct/Incorrect Answers
•The question is displayed clearly at the top (e.g., “Which of the following is NOT a function of money?”).
•Correct responses are highlighted in green with a checkmark.
•Incorrect responses are highlighted in red with an X.
•The number of students who selected each answer and the average score out of the total points is shown next to the response.
đź“– Show Passage Button
•If the question included a passage, image, or prompt, you can click “Show Passage” to display that material.
•This is helpful for evaluating student responses in context.
⬇️ Download Button
•Click the download icon (arrow pointing down) in the top-right to export all responses as a CSV file.
•This CSV can be used for further analysis or archival purposes.
📝 Rubric Panel
At the bottom of the report is the rubric section, which allows instructors to:
•Add a manual grading rubric for the question.
•Use criteria and point values to assign scores manually.
⚠️ Note: Rubrics do not automatically affect the original calculated score. They are used only for manual regrading purposes.
