Displaying custom tag descriptions in the outcomes reports
Outcome reports can optionally display tag titles and descriptions from the Learnosity author site. This requires access to a premium item bank.
-
Outcomes report: Displays the tag name in the header, with the full tag shown in a tooltip.
-
Single student report: Displays both the tag name and description.
-
Single outcome report: Displays the tag name and description in the header.
Configuration
If you would like to configure tag descriptions, please file a ticket in the support portal requesting us to enable the "Load custom tag descriptions from the item bank" feature flag for your account. This requires that you have access to your item bank through the Learnosity authoring site.
In the Learnosity authoring site:
- Navigate to the Tag Types section and navigate to the tag type you want to update the descriptions for.
- Atomic Jolt uses the Level 1, 2, and 3 tag types by default for the Outcomes report.
- If you are using a custom tag type hierarchy navigate to the names of your tag types instead.
- Search for the tag you want to add a description under the Tag Type and click on the Tag name to update it.
- In the Long Name section under the Tag name, add your description.
-
If the tag description has more than one line, the first line is the tag name to display in the report and the rest of the lines will be the description.
-
If the tag description has only one line, that the description and the tag name is the tag.
-
- Save and apply the changes to bulk update your outcome descriptions.
Note: Tag names and descriptions are cached and may take up to 5 minutes to update.
