The Outcomes Report displays student performance on items tagged with Level 1-3 tags. When you first access an Outcomes Report, it shows student performance on the top-level outcomes. You can drill down and see student performance on lower-level outcomes by clicking on the Level 1 outcomes names.
You can align items with learning outcomes and view reports of student performance on those outcomes.
You can access the Outcomes Report for individual assignments in the Reports tab for that assignment. To see the Outcomes Report for all assignments in a course go to the Students Reports section in the authoring menu.
Outcomes reports will only generate for activites that are configured using the tag hierarchy
Setting up a tag hierarchy
In order to use the outcomes report you will need to define and set up your tag hierarchy.
Navigate to the Item Bank tab within Atomic Assessments
Click on the Tags tab
Define up to three levels of outcomes hierarchy using the Level 1-3 tags. Level 1 tags will be the top level of your hierarchy. To learn more about creating tags, click here.
Apply the tags to items aligned with questions that cover those outcomes.
You will need to apply at least the Level 1 tag to each item to generate the report. You can view applied tags in the Item's tab.
Viewing and Reading the Report
You can view the Outcomes Report for individual assignments after students have completed an assignment.
To view the Outcomes Report for all assignments in a course, choose Outcomes from the reports menu from the desired assignment within Atomic Assessments.
The outcomes analysis for the assignment is shown in the dark gray column underneath the assignment name.
Each level one tag will be displayed to the right of the assignment column.
To view the level two and level three tags click on the level one tag to expand the columns to go a level deeper.
