How do I create ungraded practice assessments?

Discover how to create assessments that students can use for practice without being graded.

  1. Open the Rich Content Editor on the page where you want the practice assignment and use the toolbar to add a new Atomic Assessment.

  2. Select the type of question. In this example we'll use the Essay with Rich Text.

  3. Write the practice question, set the max score to zero, then select Next.

  4. Give the assessment a title, don't check the box for creating a gradebook entry, and select InsertAdd title, leave setting unchecked, and Insert

  5. Save the page.

  6. Go to the assessment settings.

  7. Set your desired General Settings and Feedback Timing.
