What can I see in the Usage Analytics?

Review the Usage Analytics report which provides a global view of Atomic Assessments' student, teacher, and course statistics.

The Usage Analytics report provides a global view of the student, teacher, and course statistics for Atomic Assessments. All LMS Administrators will have access to this report from any course they have access to. If you would like to limit access to this report to only specified users, please file a ticket with the list of people who should have access. 

To enable this feature, please file a ticket in the Atomic Jolt customer support portal. Once enabled, LMS administrators can access the reports by selecting Usage Analytics from the three-dot menu at the Assessment Manager's top right corner.

The Usage Analytics feature will provide information about the usage of Atomic Assessments throughout your LMS. The report will include a graphical representation of data over a period of time and tables with numerical data.

At the top of the report, you can see information on your account's license period. You can download a CSV file containing data for this Usage Analytics report as well as two additional reports for the active course IDs and active student IDs.

Report Definitions:

  • Students - Number of unique students that started assessments.
  • Teachers - Number of unique teachers that accessed Atomic Assessments.
  • Courses - Number of unique courses that Atomic Assessments was accessed in.
  • Attempts - Number of assessments that were submitted.
  • Active refers to the number during a given month.
  • Total refers to the cumulative total during the contract period (typically a year).
  • New refers to the number of unique new users during a month.
    • For example, if five students used Atomic Assessments during a month, and if three had used Atomic Assessments previously during the contract period, it would count as two new students for that month.
  • Prev Period Total refers to the cumulative total for the previous contract period. This statistic allows you to compare your current contract period to the previous one.
  • Active Students - A student who has made any attempt within the given month

  • Active Teachers - A teacher who has interacted with AA within the given month (they've opened the tool at least once)

  • Total Teachers - The total number of teachers who have interacted with AA since the start of the contract period

  • Total Students - The total number of students who have made at least 1 attempt since the start of the contract period

  • New Teachers / Students - The number of users that it's the first time they've interacted with AA within the contract period. They may have used the tool previously, but we count them the first time they use the tool within the current period
